“Collecting Art Is Fun! Rescued, Refreshed & Recycled Art.”
The space is a work in progress towards an eclectic collection of decorative art things, original paintings, antique photographs, frames, vintage objects, accents such as stools and a sprinkle of artisan made products. Rescued, Refreshed & Recycled Art.
Fueled by my love of painting, photography, furniture restoration, design and all things art has led me to develop my own style of mixed media expression and artisan skills. I regularly experiment with recycled materials, finishes, subject matter, view- points and color. Everything is a canvas. I want to offer art that speaks to many age groups and will stand the test of time long after I am gone.
Most of the inspiration for my work comes from the natural world, especially trees and mountains. Most of the pieces I create suit everyday modern rural or urban lifestyles. As is my nature, I also try to address the practicality of form and function, historical relevance and cultural influence. Creating and collecting art is therapeutic for me and beneficial to others.
Formal education in interior design, art history and graphic art tools has given me the confidence to pursue growth toward becoming a working artist in my retirement. My home studio and workshop is in Cochrane, Alberta.
The Art Garage ensures that all their art pieces are clean, ready to hang and ready to enjoy as soon as you get them home.
